On Angels' Wings' Mission Statement
On Angels' Wings helps our community from birth to death and all the valleys in between. When life finds you at your weakest and you can't see the light at the end of the tunnel, this is where On Angels Wings steps in! Our goal is to provide help from physical support to peer counseling and more to families experiencing hardships including but not limited to the death of their child during pregnancy, birth and shortly after. We help young/teen mothers learn life skills to empower themselves and provide a good life to their families. We also provide handyman and mechanic services at free or discounted rates for the elderly and disabled as well as those who despite working as much as humanly possible, still find themselves struggling and in a real need.
Want to Know MORE???
Our primary mission at On Angels' Wings is to help women and families that are in the process of or have already lost their baby in miscarriage, stillbirth or shortly after birth. We have bereavement doulas who are specially trained to handle the unique situations that occur and can be with the woman even during her loss whether in the hospital or in her home. They will be able to offer various rememberance items depending on the age of the baby, the type of loss and if they were with the mother when she delivered. We will be partnering with local funeral homes to offer end of life services. While expectant parents are focused on buying carseats and layettes they are rarely capable of foreseeing funerals, burials and cremations and we believe parents should be allowed the option to give their baby the honor of these if they choose. We hope to grow to the point of having grief groups that will meet. We are also available for mothers who are battling their unique grief following an abortion.
We are a 501(c)(3) and are capable of accepting all types of tax deductible donations. For example, if a person donates a car to us, they will get a receipt for their taxes, we will make the necessary repairs in order to make the car safe and reliable then we will resell it to a person in need. The money that we earn for the car will go into the bank account to help a family in their time of loss. Every effort will be made to help where we can. We also have a handyman who is willing to be of service to a person or family in need (if someone's sink is leaking water everywhere and they are not capable of hiring a plumber to come make the necessary repairs, he will come out to stop the leak and repair it. The person would simply be responsible for the supplies needed for the repair, if they can not afford that then their costs would be potentially absorbed by On Angels' Wings).
